My kids keep it simple with ketchup and mustard topping. I love my dogs topped with Caramelized Onions or Onions and Mushrooms and cheese. How Many Hot Dogs Can I Cook in the Air Fryer at Once?
You can cook as little as one or two, or up to 8-12 hot dogs at once, depending on the size of your air fryer. My Ninja 6-in-1 can comfortably fit 6 to 10 hot dogs at once. Although Ninja says that it can cook up to 24 hot dogs, I did not try that many at once yet.
And since hot dogs cook quickly in the air fryer, you can make them in batches.

You can cook at 400F (200 degrees C)
That’s 195°C — Celsius. You want to use the fahrenheit value of 390°F
You can’t preheat it to 390 for 3 minutes. The time is automatically sellected
I keep seeing “Preheat your air frier to ***° for 3 minutes” in recipes. Isn’t that a waste of time? An air frier gets hot almost instantly. It’s not like a conventional oven that needs time to heat up. The hot air circulation is how it works. I could maybe see turning it on for the minimum amount of time your frier can be set for (a minute?). But 3 minutes or so? I don’t think it’s necessary.
You’re right. Air fryer gets hot almost instantly, but i found that for meats (hot dogs, steaks, burgers) it likes to be very hot. I sometimes preheat my air fryer for a minute or two on higher heat, then lower it once I add the meats. Works good too
Husband loved them. I used garlic butter on the inside of the bun and added shredded cheese before I put them in for the last 2 minutes. I would have taken a picture but they were gone before I had a chance.🙂
