Preheat your air fryer to 350F (180°C).Select your bread: Classic sourdough, Rye or a hearty whole grain are all good options.
Prepare the avocado: Cut your avocado in half, removing the pit and scooping the flesh onto your bread. For a smoother texture, feel free to mash it in. Lightly salt and pepper, to taste. Feel free to use a seasoning of your choice. I used Italian Seasoning.
Cheese it up: Lay on your cheese of choice. More is more in this case, as the melted cheese will help hold your avocado in place and provide that irresistible gooey factor. I love using Provolone or Swiss Cheese.Layer on the extras: If you're in the mood for more, add some sliced tomatoes or a sprinkle of bacon before the final layer of cheese.
Air fry to perfection: Pop your creation in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C). Air fryer (air crisp) for 5 to 6 minutes, until the bread is crispy, and the avocado sandwich is melty, gooey, and golden.
