Instructions
Scrub your sweet potato under running water to remove any dirt. You can peel them or leave the skins on for added fiber and texture. I peeled mine.
Cut your sweet potatoes into uniform pieces. I cut them into 1-inch cubes. Whether you prefer wedges, cubes, or fries, consistency in size ensures even cooking and prevents some pieces from burning while others remain undercooked.Peel and slice onions into half circles or thin wedges, depending on your preference.Toss the sweet potatoes and onions with oil and seasoning until they are well-coated.
Preheat your air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes before adding your sweet potatoes.Spread the pieces out in a single layer, allowing hot air to circulate evenly around each piece.
Cook for 12-16 minutes at 375°F, depending on the size. Shake the basket halfway through cooking to promote even browning.Check for doneness: Around the 12-minute mark, check the vegetables by poking them with a knife or fork. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
